Christmas Eve was always a special time in the Casperson household when I was growing up. I would swim that morning and then we would have either waffles or a stuffed french toast recipe of my mom’s for breakfast. The pretty Christmas centerpiece was always lit. It was equipped with the wise men, sheep and goats, shepherds, and more…all spinning around as the heat from the candles caused the top to turn 🙂 Christmas Eve morning meant Christmas music on the stereo, a small visit from Santa in our stocking, a fun breakfast all together, and a morning of present opening. Brett and I split up the holidays such that each family is able to maintain their own special time while also adapting a bit to our changing families. Now Brett has his own stocking, handmade by my Granny Casperson, and we are able to share in the special day at my childhood home together.
Merry Christmas Eve to all of you!
