Hello to everyone!
We met with the DJ this evening. I think the meeting went pretty well! We established some of the important songs (and some of the goofy ones….i.e. YMCA!). 🙂 But does anyone out there have any suggestions/requests? 🙂

Hello to everyone!
Our registry is ready to go! We’ll add a few more things over the next few months but for the most part the registries are done! 🙂 There are three different registries just based on everything that we found that we wanted. Here are the links and pertinent details 🙂

Gift Registry 360:
Lots of wedding planning occurred today…still soooo many details to work out! Always a work in progress 🙂

We’re looking for tuxes this weekend, Shelly and I met about flowers the other day, and the registry is just a few days away from making its debut on the website! So much going on!
On a non-wedding note, Brett just accepted an internship this summer with the Microsoft Research Lab which is very exciting! I’m also looking forward to my summer spent working with NASA. Lots happening this summer! Brett and I have also kick started back into our running! After a summer spent finishing up chemo. treatments, recovering, and taking wonderful vacations with our families, and then a first semester spent getting our feet back underneath us, its now second semester and we’re running again! We’ve both registered for the half marathon happening in Champaign in April. 13.1 miles should be great on the flat terrain of our lovely home! We’ve done the race before so we should be pros by now! 😉
I’ve also registered for the American Brain Tumor Association’s Chicago Marathon running team. I’m raising money (just in case you’re interested!) for a great organization and getting my butt into shape at the same time. Brett and I have each completed the marathon before but I’m hoping to have a little more training under my belt this time around. 🙂 I’ve included the link to my fundraising page (again, just in case you’re interested!).
Hope you’re all well! Check back next week for our registry!
I hope some of you enjoyed the Michigan pictures 🙂 We had a really fun trip with both of the dogs in beautiful, snowy, Union Pier, MI. I’ve been busy this week working on a fellowship renewal application for NASA and finishing up my Master’s thesis and helping my dad after hip replacement surgery. Its been a busy week! Our registry is almost done though….stay tuned in the next week for links to appear! Descriptions of the bridal party will start appearing soon too so lots of new website content coming soon.
Hello to all!
I’ve spent most of the past two days either sending out Christmas cards, looking at invitation options, or starting to add things to our registry. The registry is quite a large chunk of the current ‘to do’ list! So many things to figure out and research (we’re kind of consumer reports junkies hehe!). I started with the easy things today. 🙂 Still trying to figure out where the gifts should be sent so that info will be changed as soon as its decided. 🙂 Any suggestions on good registry items to add? We need dishes (still working on that) but we have a lot of furniture that we’ve been using from my parents….so do we ask for more/newer/matching furniture or do we wait until we’re in a more permanent location? Champaign is a wonderful place to call home but we’ll probably only be here about 4 more years. And we have sooo much space here compared to what our next home might look like before we buy our own. 🙂 Many exciting things in life to look forward to together! We’re definitely going to ask for sheets and towels and some kitchen accessories that we’d like to add to our collection. Any suggestions/ideas would be wonderful!
On another note, all of the bridesmaids dresses have been ordered and I’m pretty sure that most of them are in already. Exciting! Brett and I are going to spend the next few days designing the invitations and then those will go out in the next few months. There always seems to be something to do! 😉 Alright, thats all for now. Hope all is well with you!
Happy New Year 2012!
